Registration-General

1. Once general entry sells out, is there any other way to register?

Alternative entry options vary per event. Visit thehomepageof this event for information onregistration options.There are no waiting lists and withdrawn slots will not be resold.

2. Why do I have to be a member USA Triathlon (USAT) or buy a one-day license and what does that insurancecover?

USA Triathlon will sanction this race. To complete the online registration process, athletes will need to enter theirUSAT annual license number or athletes can purchase a one-day license ($15.00 USD) or annual license ($50.00USD) during online registration. Athletes must bring their photo identification and show proof of current USATmembership during athlete check in. Otherwise, it will be required to purchase a one day license on-site. 3. Do I need to qualify, validate or confirm my entry by completing another event?

No, competitors do not need to qualifyor validate to enter this race. However, we dosuggest competing in a shorter distance triathlon event before race day.

4. What categories are offered?

Professional, Age Group, and Physically Challenged Open Division.

5. How do I determine whether I should race as an age-grouper or a professional?

Professionals must hold a valid professional/elite card or a letter from their country’sfederation. For more information on IRONMAN pro membership, please logontowww.ironmanpromembership.com. You must declare your status to race in thatdivision. Otherwise you will be in the Age Group category determined by your birthdate.

6. Will there be relay teams available?

Yes! relay teams will be available at this race.

7. What are the age requirements?

All athletes must be a minimum of 18 years of age as of race day for the event year tocompete in this event.

8. What age group will I race in on race day?

All qualifying events will implement both the International Triathlon Federation and USATriathlon's Age Group Competition rule: All age group athletes must complete in theirage group division corresponding to the athlete's age on December 31st of the year ofthe event.

Registration-Athlete Check In

1. When and where is athlete check-in/registration?

The athlete check-In location and hours can be found in theevent schedule.

2. Can a family member/friend check-in for me and pick-up my race packet?

No, only registered athletes are allowed into athlete check-in. You will be required toverify your medical information and sign your event waivers. Please bring your photo IDand triathlon membership card (if applicable) during the designated check-in hours. Allathletes must check-in during designated hours, no exceptions.

3. What if I can't make it to athlete check-In within the designated hours?

You must check in and pick up your race packet during designated check-in hours.

This rule is in effect for a number of important reasons and exists to make yourexperience safe and stress-free. The scheduling is designed to allow each athlete theopportunity to become oriented with the venue and receive all the necessaryinformation needed for a successful race. Athlete check-in hours are posted well inadvance of race week—please make your travel plans accordingly.

Registration-Qualifying Spots

1. How many slots will be available for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship?

This information can be found on theevent homepage.

2. How does the age group slot allocation for the IRONMAN World Championshipswork?

Prior to race day, at least one slot shall betentativelyallocated to each age groupcategory (both male and female). Final slot allocation will be determined on race daybased on the number of official starters in each age group.

If there are no starters in a particular age group, then that slot will be moved to the nextcalculated age group within the gender.

Final slot allocation shall be representative of the actual number of starters in eachcategory in the race.

Athletes must claim their slot in-person during the IRONMAN World Championship SlotAllocation and Rolldown Ceremony. Please check the schedule of events for time andlocation.

3. What is "Rolldown" and how does it work?

Slot Allocation and Rolldown will be completed together in the same ceremony for allIRONMAN events. Please check the schedule of events for time and location.

Anyone who wishes to claim a Rolldown slot must attend the IRONMAN WorldChampionship Slot Allocation and Roll-Down Ceremony and claim their slot in person.

If an automatic qualifier in an age group chooses not to take the slot, does not attendthe IRONMAN World Championship Slot Allocation and Rolldown Ceremony, or hasalready qualified, the next eligible finisher in that age group may claim the slot that hasrolled down.

If there are no more eligible finishers in a particular age group or no other finishers inattendance at the IRONMAN World Championship Slot Allocation and RolldownCeremony in that age group, thatunclaimed slot will be reallocated to another agegroup within the gender based on the athletes-to-slots ratio.

The age group within the gender with the largest athletes-to-slots ratio will receive thefirst reallocated slot, followed by the next largest ratio receiving the second re-allocatedslot (if applicable), and so on.

4. What is the Anti-Doping Policy for athletes accepting IRONMAN WorldChampionship slots?

Each age-group athlete who accepts a qualifying slow for the IRONMAN WorldChampionship or the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship is subject to IRONMAN'sAnti-Doping Rules and will be required to sign a waiver. The waiver serves to provideadditional notification of and consent to IRONMAN's Anti-Doping Program, whichincludes IRONMAN's efforts to combat, deter, and test for doping in accordance withIRONMAN's Anti-Doping Rules. Please refer to IRONMAN'sCompetition Rulesforadditional guidance and information.

Course

Spectators/Supporters

1. Where is the best place to watch the race?

SWIM:The beach is open for spectators to watch the swim and cheer on the athletes.

BIKE:The bike course is an out and back course, which makes it difficult for spectators to view the course due to traffic regulations. The best place to watch your athlete start and finish the bike course is the transitionarea.

RUN:The run course is a 3 loop course enabling spectators to see their athletes many times on course while staying close to the host property.

2. Will I be allowed to cross the finish line with my athlete?

Friends and/or family members are not permitted to cross the finish line or enter thefinish chute with participating athletes. This policy allows each competitor adequatetime to celebrate their accomplishment without interfering with other finishers andensure the safety of all participants, volunteers and fans. Athletes who choose not torespect the policy will receive an automatic disqualification (DQ)

3. Will I be allowed into the finish area to greet my athlete?

Unfortunately, due to high congestion in the finish line area, no spectators will beallowed. Please do not try to gain access to this area, as it must remain clear for thesafety of the athletes. Before the event, you and your athlete should decide on ameeting place for after they have finished.

4. Will I be allowed into the medical tent if my athlete has been admitted?

No. Therewill be a medical information tent next to the medical tent where medicalupdates will be available on athletes who enter the medical tent.

5. Will I be permitted to take my vehicle on the course to follow my athlete?

No, for safety reasons, we ask that you do not attempt to follow your athlete by car. The best place to watch yourathlete is in the transition area and the finish line. Any vehicular traffic on the race course should expect longdelays. Please do not attempt to gain access to the race course with your vehicle. We want to keep the course assafe as possible for the athletes.

6. Will there be live online tracking and results on race day?

3. What is the IRONMAN Village?

The IRONMANVillage features various booths, including a showcase of official IRONMAN merchandise, IRONMANexhibitors, bike shops, as well as many other services and products. It provides a perfect gathering and meetingplace for athletes and spectators.

4. Will I receive an official finisher's certificate?

Yes, athletes who participate in this race will receive a finisher certificate via e-mailshortly after the event.

6. Who do I contact regarding official race photos?

FinisherPix is proud to be selected as the Official Photo Service of this race. FinisherPixwill have several photographers working at the swim exit, on the bike course, on the runcourse, and of course, at the finish line. In addition, FinisherPix will have photographerspositioned after the finish where you can have a photo taken after you receive yourmedal.
